We are a dynamic non-profit organization that empowers people to move from poverty to prosperity through holistic youth development, small business development and hunger relief ministries in South Florida. Since 1973, South Florida Urban Ministries (SFLUM) has partnered with churches and organizations to develop ministries of compassion and justice, as the urban ministry and social justice agency of the Florida Southeast District of the United Methodist Church. On an annual basis our professionals and volunteer mentors serve more than 500 students, our food pantries reach more than 11,000 people and our economic development services educate hundreds.

At South Florida Urban Ministries, we are busy planning and organizing our 8th Annual Thanksgiving Meal Deliveries. As we think about Thanksgiving, it is easy to imagine the taste of the delicious food and the fellowship of good friends and family. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving does not bring such bounty to everyone. Due to the current economic difficulties, many children, families and individuals in South Florida will not sit down to a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. In fact, there are more families than ever in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.

However, you have the opportunity to spread hope and make a difference! Your donation in support of our hunger relief ministries will provide a blessing of good food this Thanksgiving and tangible support to those in need throughout the coming year!
